Zbrojny zombie | Zombie Man-at-arms

Zadziwiające, że wśród wszystkich wzorów zombie, produkowanych przez GW na przestrzeni lat, stosunkowo nieliczne były takie, które pokazywały ożywieńców "z pól bitew" - uzbrojonych i noszących pancerze, wyglądających tak, jakby wskrzeszono prosto z pobojowiska. Dominowały wzory przedstawiające zapewne jakichś wieśniaków czy mieszczan. Nawet w obecnym pudełku plastikowych zombie dominują stwory tego rodzaju. Zdarzały się jednak wyjątki potwierdzające regułę - i jeden z nich widać obok. Co prawda to jeden z najsłabszych tworów GW ze starego okresu, niemniej jednak wojak z niego - był - pełną gębą. Żeby jeszcze wzmocnić to wrażenie, resztki jego ubrania pomalowałem tak, by przypominały kolory jakiegoś barona czy innego szlachcica z pogranicza Imperium i Bretonii. To kolejny wzór, który wymagał dorobienia tarczy.

It is interesting, that among all these zombies produced by GW for last 20 or 25 years, armed undead risen straight from the battlefields remains few and between. Most of the figures look like they are raised villagers and city dwellers. It is true for even current, plastic zombies. But small part of the old miniatures were different - one of such "warrior-zombies" is visible next to this note. It is one of the weakest sculpts of GW in my opinion but still - he wears some sort of chainmail, helmet and shield. To make this impression of freshly risen warrior even stronger, I painted remains of his clothes in a color livery, suitable for retainer of some petty baron living on the border of Empire and Bretonny. And this is another miniature with hand-made shield.
