Wybrane z tygodnia 91 | Chosen from the week 91

91. wydanie "Wybranych z tygodnia"... Obszerne, poruszające różne tematy i - mam nadzieję - przydatne dla choćby części spośród czytających.

Galerie:
- Herald Nurgla w malowaniu C'tana.
- Olbrzymia galeria armii ogrów autorstwa Lewisa Clarka.
- Tarik, figurka do Infinity, pędzla Angela Giraldeza.
- Kapelan w pancerzu terminatora w malowaniu Flameona... Świetny efekt jarzącego się błękitu wokół hełmu.
- Na blogu The Brush Brothers panowie urządzili sobie tydzień z zabójcą smoków.
- Diorama "Maintenance Area 2" autorstwa Les Kouzes. Kilka fotografii pokazujących prace nad dioramą, a potem zdjęcia całości. Świetne postarzanie.

Poradniki:
Temat fajny i przydatny, a same rady z pewnością można też zastosować podczas sprzedawania figurek na portalu aukcyjnym nieco popularniejszym w Polsce.

91st issue of "Chosen from the week". Large, with links leading to many different subjects, both in painting and modelling, and useful - I hope. Enjoy the reading.

Galleries:
- Thread on the Warseer forum with Skryre clan Skavens by Sliver. Miniatures are maybe painted not on the Golden Demon level but they are nice nevertheless and there is a lot of nice and very clever conversions there.
- Herald of Nurgle painted by C'tan. Colours are little different then standard yellowish greens, much more saturated. I think that this is interesting variation.
- Another Polish master of the brush, Karol Rudyk and his Lords of the Shadow. Truly incredible shadows and highlights.
- Huge gallery of photos of Ogre Kingdoms army by Lewis Clark. Excellent conversions, very clever execution and painting definitely better then average.
- Tarik, Infinity miniature painted by Angel Giraldez. All miniatures painted by this painter are of exceptional quality, but I would like to turn your attention to the face, visible clearly on the close-up photo. Just think that this part of the miniature is about 4 mm long...
- Chaplain in terminator armour by Flameon... Excellent effect of glaring blue halo around the helmet.
- Week of the Dragon Slayers on the Brush Brothers blog. You can see new miniature of GW's Dragon Slayer painted by loler here, painted by Piotr Dexter here and - finally - painted by Redav here. Miniature I like the most is visible next to the Polish part of this note.
- "Maintenance Area 2" diorama by Les Kouzes. Few photos of work-in-progress type and pictures of finished model. Excellent weathering.

Guides:
- Gardens of Hecate and sculpting ruffs. Simple yet effective - just like tutorials should be.
- Something for Warmachine players out there - You Tube and a movie tutorial by Brush4hire showing how to paint Khador Behemoth. Techniques shown here are useful for painting any large robotic miniature.
- Really interesting article about making moulds for casting. This isn't guide per se but it is one of the best written articles showing how moulds are done I know. Very interesting for anyone curious how miniatures are being made. Posted on Mouldmaker website.
- Massive Voodoo and four excellent guides. First is about painting Arkvenger from Pegaso Models. Sevond tutorial shows how to make a display base really fast, third is about making bases from stamped millipute and fourth show - in a step-by-step way - paiting miniatures frome excellent Zombiecide boardgame.
- Santa Cruz Warhammer Historical and fourth part of the series of articles about building realistic 2WW era terrain. This time it is about cobblestones.
- How to sell miniatures on E-bay - successfully, written by Lee Jerrum from Talk Wargaming website.
- Another dwarven Dragon Slayer, this time step by step painting guide published on Watching Paint Dry blog.
- Excellent and easy to reproduce vehicle weathering with oil paints. Article published on KNminis website.
- How to make Warhammer regimental bases - by PsychosisPC from The Mad Houseworkshop blog.
- Horus Heresy era Thunderfire cannon conversion, guide published on Miniaturetim blog.
- Painting US Marines from 2WW. Guide published on Warlord Games website.
- And last link in this part of the note, another step-by-step guide. Painting Dwarf King, one of my favourite Dwarves sculpt from the times of the WFB 3rd. edition. Published on Jaeckelalone blog.

Various:
- Another from the series of interviews with employees of the Games Workshop which had worked there in the "Oldhammer" days. This time questions asked by Orlygg from Realm of Chaos 80s blog are answered by Mike Brunton, an original author of Slaves to Darkness book.
- Second interview - this time Volomir talks with David Soper, Golden Demon winner from 1990 and 2013.
- And... last but definitely not least - Tech Priest of Adeptus Mechanicus. Photo of this costume is visible next to the English part of this note.

I urge you to read seventeenth part of the "Chosen from the week" series, which was published here, on the blog, more then three years ago. Similar in character series of notes is also run by Quidamcorvus on his blog - link to the newest article is here.

So... next "Chosen..." will be published in two weeks time - stay tuned, share, like, plus it... or comment:)
