Wybrane z tygodnia 94 | Chosen from the week 94

Pierwsza to Baneblade.
- Lądowy okręt z Marienburga, pomalowany przez Sigurda z bloga Tale of Painters.
- Książę Wysokich Elfów na gryfie, model z boksa Island of Blood.
Nowe popiersie firmy Life Miniature, ja jednak chciałbym zwrócić uwagę przede wszystkim na niesamowite malowanie autorstwa Myeng-Ha Hwang. Zdjęcie tego popiersia widać obok anglojęzycznej części notki.
- A na zakończenie taka ciekawostka autorstwa Bohuna. Kostka. 150 godzin malowania. Sztuka dla sztuki, rzecz jasna.

Poradniki:
- Strona ModelBrush i kilkanaście poradników, głównie dotyczących malowania figurek i pojazdów w skali 15 i 28 mm, z naciskiem na II wojnę światową.
Artykuł należy do trzyczęściowego cyklu traktującego o tworzeniu scenariusza do gry. Obie notki pochodzą z bloga Pijlie's Wargames Blog.
- Wioska w dżungli. Trzy wpisy (dwa o budowie, tutaj i tutaj, i trzeci, przedstawiający efekt pracy), znalazłem szukając pomysłów na tereny do przyszłych gier. Autorem notek jest Rodger z bloga Rebel Barracks.
- Rzeżbienie owijaczy, czy też onuc. Przydatne w kontekście wydanego niedawno kodeksu gwardii...

Inne:
- A tutaj najlepsza armia... Studio GMM (znane z absolutnie odjechanych display boardów) i ich Król Robali.
- Kilka zdjęć ze spotkania fanów Warhammera w Czechach, wraz z linkami do chyba paru setek zdjęć pokazujących to wydarzenie w galeriach osobistych. Kostiumy, dobra zabawa i dziesiątki ludzi.

This particular issue of my series should really be titled "Chosen from the month" but let's not be too picky;). So, without unnecessery intros, I'd like to present another listing of most interesting wargaming and miniatures links which I came across the Net in the last few weeks.

Galleries of all kinds:
- Let's start with C'tan and his two new works. First of them is this great Baneblade. This is not only great model but - additionally - a black one. Believe me, this is the hardest color to weather. Second of his new works is this Scions Command Squad - new, fresh models, painted, as usual with C'tan, with large OSL effects.
- Speaking about new Guard... Scion painted by Camelson.
- And here two opponents for guardsmen - eldar farseer and warlock on jetbikes, painted by Nadya. Excellent painting - very colourfull and flashy, but great nonetheless.
- Landship from Marienburg, painted by Sigurd from Tale of Painters blog.
- High Elves Prince on griffon - plastic model from the Island of Blood boxed set. It was once featured here in work-in-progress stage, not this is fully finished miniature. Painted by Black Dagger, this miniature is visible next to the Polish part of this article.
- Marshall Montgomery. New bust from Life Miniature company. Bust itself is really good but just take at the painting (by Myeng-Ha Hwang). Photo of this 1:9 scale bust is visible next to the English part of this note.
- And last masterpiece today  - the cube painted by Bohun. 150 hours of work. Just for shows of course.

Guides:
- ModelBrush website and about twenty different guides, mostly about painting WW2 wehicles and miniatures in 15 and 28 mm scales. I particulary like this tutorial, posted on subpage HeresyBrush, which is a mix of videoguide and a article about painting 28 mm scale faces. Excellent thing written by Rubén.
- Building Japanese large house - something of particular interest for all "Ronin" players. This is actually third part of the series about writing scenario for the game. Very good modelling skills. You may also check this newer article about making simple wargaming houses. Both notes were posted on Pijlie's Wargames Blog.
- Jungle village. Three entries (two about actual building the houses, here and here, and a third, showing finished village). I stumbled upon these notes looking for some terrain ideas for my future USMC "Bolt Action" army. Written by Rodger from Rebel Barracks blog.
- Sculpting leg wraps. Especially useful for all these new Imperial Guard miniatures. Talkwargaming.com, written by Peter Harrison.
- Painting winter whitewash camo - guide published on Rust and the City blog.
- Fifth part of the series about painting Ellyrian Reavers miniatures, by Volomir. I'm still in awe, how many excellent ideas these articles contain.

Other:
- Excellent Space Marines miniatures in Epic scale guide, written by Ian Logsdon from Imperium Dominatus website.
- Volomir one more time and sculpted by him unofficial 54 mm scale model of Kasrkin sergeant.
- Large gallery of armies from this year Adapticon...
- ... and the winning army, made by GMM Studios (again;)). Rise of the Worm King.
- Some photos from the Warhammer Fantasy Battle battlefield in Czech Republic. Lots of people, and lots of fun I think. Inside there are links to some personal galleries with dozens of pictures.
- And last thing for today - amphipious assaults in "Bolt Action" - official rules from Warlord Games website.

So... That's it, this is the end of the current issue. Thanks for reading, I also urge you to read one of the older "Chosen of the week" articles", like this one, issue no. 20 written more then 3 years ago. Just take a look and see changes to the series which I gradually introduced.
It is also worth to take a look here. Quidamcorvus runs similar series on his blog. He has started later then I but - publishing weekely - he has much larger issues count;)
