Wspomniana w poprzednim wpisie Mormega reszta drużyny szturmowej Władców Nocy z czasów Herezji Horusa. Opis malowania i pochodzenie części znajduje się we wspomnianej notce, od siebie dodam zaś tylko, że ta, ciut jaśniejsza wersja pancerza, podoba mi się o wiele bardziej niż wcześniejsza.

Mormeg has mentioned in his previous entry painting entire assault squad of Night Lords from Horus Heresy era. Painting scheme and description of miniatures is available there. I just would like to add, that this current, slightly brighter armour colour, is much better imho.

Figurka sierżanta Night Lords to pierwsza z pięciu pomalowanych miniaturek wchodzących w skład Legion Assault Squad, którzy 10 tys. lat później będą walczyć w Długiej Wojnie w drużynie raptorów. Malowanie standardowe dla mnie, chociaż pancerz jest odrobinę jaśniejszy niż zbroje wcześniej pomalowanych astartes. Zawsze przed użyciem farb dbałem, żeby je odpowiednio rozmieszać, wywijając pojemnikiem na wszystkie strony. Przed malowaniem tych pięciu dżentelmenów uznałem jednak, że najwyższy czas zmienić metodę. Miałem obawy, że coś jest nie tak. Niemając pod ręką kulek do łożysk, wrzuciłem do pojemnika magnes neodymowy i zacząłem zabawę w barmana z shakerem. Efekt zgodny z przeczuciem - farbka została znacznie lepiej rozbełtana, kolor zaczął przypominać kolor pancerzy Night Lords z fotek w sieci. Wyciągnąłem nauczkę. Do pojemników z innymi farbami powędrowały kolejne magnesy.

Sama figurka pochodzi z zestawu Forge World Legion MKIV Assault Squad Set - jeszcze do kupienia, z tym, że hełmy wziąłem, co do zasady, z upgrade packu - też jeszcze do kupienia. Użytych przeze mnie torsów figurek, niestety, już nie można kupić ze sklepu FW. Kalkomanie również pochodzą z zestawu FW. Przy okazji chciałem napisać, że dołączam do wiernych fanów zestawu do nakładania kalkomanii Micro Sol i Micro Set - rewelacyjne środki.

Miniature of Night Lords sergeant is the first of the five painted Legion Assault Squad members, who - ten thousand years later - will still be waging Long War against False Emperor as raptors. Painting was standard for my Night Lords, but final color of the armour is slightly brighter then earlier painted astartes' armours. Just before painting I usually tried to shake a paint viciously, to distribute pigment. Just before painting this lot of miniatures, I decided to try other method - as the stainless stell ball bearings were unavailable at this time, I put earth magnet into the pot and started "shake it baby" fun. Well, let's just say that this produces MUCH more better results and the paint color is much closer to the original. So, taught by experience, my other paint pots were treated similary, earth magnet inside.

Miniature itself comes from the Forge World's Legion MKIV Assault Squad Set - it is still available on producer's website. Helmet is taken from the upgrade pack - available as well. Torsos, on the other hand, are no longer available. Decals were produced by Forge World too. And one more thing - I just discovered Micro Sol and Micro Set - geezus, I should to start using them decade ago.

Drużyna astartes Emperor's Children z czasów Herezji Horusa w malowaniu mojego brata - brak co prawda dziesiątego marine'a, który poszedł przypudrować nosek i nie zdążył na zdjęcie, a tak naprawdę wrócił już do Mormega.

Tło nie jest do końca może najlepsze, podobnie jak same zdjęcia, ale - niestety - mój namiot nie jest przeznaczony do robienia zdjęć większej liczbie figurek:)

Background and photos are certainly not the best but - unfortunately - my photo tent isn't big enough to take photos of more then five or six miniatures bunched together.

Następna figurka z powstającej mini-armii Emperor's Children Mormega. Zapytany o plany, nakreślił je poniżej.

Plany mam ambitne, oczywiście jak na mnie: dwie drużyny taktycznych legionistów, dwa leviathany i dwa oddziały kakophoni. Uzbiera się razem mała armia. Dodatkowym bonusem, o ile pomaluję jeszcze contemptora i chaplaina, będzie fakt, że będę miał pomalowane modele do zagrania w Betrayal at Calth, co prawda innymi Legionami, niż te które walczyły "historycznie".

Później do pomalowania będzie jeszcze Palatine Blade Squad. Marzy mi się również pomalowanie jednego albo dwóch rhino, a wreszcie i Eidolona.

Next miniature from Emperor's Children small army painted by Mormeg. Asked about plans regarding this Legion, he told:

Plans are ambitious, of course for me: two squads of tactical marines, two leviathans and two kakophoni squads. It will be a small army in itself. Additionally, if I will be able to paint contemptor and chaplain models, will be ability to use painted miniatures for Betrayal at Calth game - different legion the in the Horus Heresy, but still - painted;)

Then I'd like to paint Palatine Blade squad and I dream about painting one or two rhinos and Eidolon.

Chorąży drużyny taktycznej Emperor's Children | Emperors' Children tactical squad Vexilla

Kolejnym modelem z drużyny taktycznej Emperor's Children pomalowanym przez Mormega jest "chorąży" - Legion Vexilla, mający zwiększać morale wojowników. 

Mormeg do budowy tego (i wcześniejszych modeli, pokazujących marines w pancerzach Mk IV), wykorzystał plastikowe modele z gier planszowych GW - tani, ale znakomity sposób na zwiększenie liczby figurek w armii.

Another model from the Emperor's Children's tactical squad painted by Mormeg - Legion Vexilla, brave marine tasked with honoured duty of carrying squad banner.

To build this (and earlier Mk IV armour marines) my brother used plastic miniatures from GW boardgames - excellent way to cheaply bulk up numbers of warriors in the army.

Drugie Dziecię Imperatora | Second Emperor's Children

Drugi legionista drużyny Emperor's Children z czasów Herezji Horusa w malowaniu mojego brata. Podobnie jak wcześniejszy, malowany z użyciem washów nakładanych na metaliczny podkład. Metoda, zdaniem Mormega, szybka, łatwa i dająca niezłe rezultaty. I z tym mogę się zgodzić:)

A tytułem eksperymentu zdjęcia są dostępne bez zmniejszenia - wystarczy kliknąć.

Second legionary from the squad of Horus Heresy era Emperor's Children painted by my brother. As the one shown earlier, painted with washes on bright metallic undercoat. According to Mormeg, my bro, this is fast and simple method giving good results. And I think he is right:)

Próbny legionista Emperor's Children | Emperor's Children test legionary

Od czasu przeczytania "Fulgrima", a później "Outcast Dead" czułem, że urok III Legionu coraz mocniej mnie kusi. Bywały chwile kiedy ten głos cichł, czasami jednak odżywał ze zdwojoną energią. W momencie kiedy natknąłem się w sieci na poradnik malowania legionistów III Legionu wyłącznie washami wiedziałem, że ten wewnętrzny głos nie da mi już spokoju. To pierwsza figurka, testowa, malowana wyłącznie washami na srebrnym podkładzie. Jedynie elementy skórzane są malowane w sposób tradycyjny.

Efekt jak dla mnie całkiem, całkiem. Ten sposób malowania ma ogromną zaletę , jest po prostu szybki. Mam nadzieję, że niedługo uda mi się pomalować więcej Dzieci Imperatora.

Ever since I've read 'Fulgrim' first and 'Outcast Dead' later I felt an urge to paint some III Legion miniatures. Sometimes it was just a distand whisper in my head, other times it was more like a very loud shout. So, when I came across the tutorial showing how to paint III Legion legionary with washes only, I knew that this is the time to actually paint something. The miniature below is the test one, painted with washes over silver undercoat. Only leather parts are painted traditionally.

I quite like the final effect and this method of painting has one huge advantage - it is very fast. I hope that I will be able to paint some more Emperor's Children using this method.
