Northstar poinformował o rozpoczęciu zbiórki społecznościowej, w ramach której można kupić w cenach nieco niższych niż detaliczne nowe dodatki do "Frostgrave". Chodzi o dodatek "Thaw of the Lich Lord", suplement przeznaczony dla graczy mających drużyny zarówno nowe, jak i już doświadczone, w którym stawią czoła potędze będącej świadkiem zarówno chwały, jak i upadku miasta będącego areną gry. W zrujnowanym, skutym lodem grodzie budzi się bowiem starożytny licz. Gracze będą walczyć z jego agentami, zdobywać starożytne relikty a - w końcu - staną oko w oczodół z nim samym. Dodatkowo, w nowym podręczniku mają zostać rozbudowane czary nekromantyczne, a czarodzieje graczy mogą obrać ścieżkę wiodącą ku nieśmiertelności - mogą próbować zostać liczami. Pojawią się także nowi stronnycy, nowe stwory zamieszkujące miasto i nowe artefakty.

Northstar prowadzi zbiórkę w sposób nieco nietypowy, za pośrednictwem własnej witryny. Oferuje kilka poziomów wsparcia, od najniższego, w którym dostępny będzie sam dodatek i markery skarbów, do zawierającego wszystko, co ukaże się wraz z suplementem, czyli - między innymi - nowy zestaw plastikowych kultystów i kilka nowych metalowych figurek. Dostępny jest również poziom wsparcia, w ramach którego otrzymamy praktycznie wszystkie oficjalne figurki, podręcznik główny gry, itp - czyli rzeczy już dostępne, i te, które pojawią się wraz z premierą pierwszego dużego dodatku do gry.

Zbiórka trwa od dziś do 2 listopada, oficjalna data premiery dodatku to 20 listopada 2015 r.

Northstar informs that its crowdfunding campaign (Nickstarter) for 'Thaw of the Liche Lord' is running now. It allows to advane buy (and slightly cheaper) upcoming first major supplement for 'Frostrgrave' and a bunch of accompaying releases, such as new box of plastic cultists miniatures, new metal miniatures which will represent major antagonists and characters from upcoming campaign, etc. Players will confront new major threat lurking in the frozen city, one which was 'old when the great city was still young, and who saw both its rise and its disastrous fall". Players will confront the Lich Lord's minions, race against his agents to seize possession of mysterious artefacts and - ultimately - face Liche Lord himself. Additionally, 'Thaw of the Liche Lord' will contain advanced necromantic magic rules and players will be able to follow the dark road to becoming an undead lich. Bestiary will be expandend, new henchmen and unique magical treasures will be added to the game.

Northstar's campaign runs on company's website. There are few levels of support, from the lowest one, giving simply upcoming book and few treasure tokens, to the most expansive one, which gives basically everything from the new supplement - book itself, new plastic miniatures, new metal figures, etc. There is also an option to buy everything from both new supplement and old releases - main rulebook, old box of plastic henchmen, older metal wizards miniatures, etc.

Nickstarter runs from today till November 2nd, 'Thaw of the Liche Lord' will be officially released on November 20th.
