Drugi żołnierz piechoty morskiej z PTO | Second marine from PTO

Drugi z malowanych na próbę, w celu ustalenia najbardziej mi odpowiadającego wyglądu kamuflażu i kolorów amerykańskich marines z Pacyfiku, z czasów II wojny światowej. Różni się paroma detalami od pierwszego. Najważniejszym jest ustalenia już ostatecznego koloru munduru w wersji bez kamuflażu (w tym przypadku spodnie). Zmieniłem również malowanie obu wersji plam samego maskowania. O ile z zielonego jestem już zadowolony i taki zostanie, o tyle wersja brązowa wymaga jeszcze dopracowania.

I, powtórzę się, naprawdę odpowiadają mi te plastiki Warlorda. Świetnie się malują, choć są nieco kłopotliwe w przypadku korzystania z pustych rąk i wstawiania w nie broni - wymagają wtedy sporej precyzji. Ale o tym w kolejnej notce o marines, gdzie pokażę żołnierza z BARem.

Second of the U.S. Marines from the Pacific Theatre of Operations of World War Two, which I paint as a kind of "test" miniatures for my Bolt Action army. I try to get a feel for rigth combination of colours and ways of painting camouflaged uniforms. The one shown today is different from the first one, the most obvious difference is correct color of non camouflaged uniform (pants on this one). I also changed both the way I paint camo spots and some colors. Green version I'm totally satisfied with and will use it in next miniatures, brown one is bettern then first version but I think it is not totally good yet.

I will repeat myself probably, but I really, really like these Warlord's plastic miniatures. They are great fun to paint. They are, at the same time, time-consuming to assemble and one need to pay special attention when using empty hands and separate weapons - this calls for a precision, as the grip has to be believeable...
