Herr Haber

Pierwsza z nowych figurek poszukiwaczy przygód gotowa. I tak go chyba będę nazywał w swoich grach... Powiedzmy, Herr Haber:)

Ponieważ lubię, by moje miniaturki były malowane w kolorach, nazwijmy je, realistycznych, stąd sakwy i worki mają kolor naturalnej skóry.

Serdecznie witam Herr Habera w drużynie, wkrótce dołączą do niego kolejni łowcy skarbów.

First of the freshly painted new adventurers is finished. I was sure that this is one of the 'Fighters' range from the eighties, but I couldn't find it in the catalogues. Facebook gave me a hint that it was a Dungeoneer from 1987 (which corresponds with the date on the tab), but I couldn't find it again. Equipment of this knight clearly indicates that this is not a historical miniature, as it has a sack, bag and a flask of probably magic potion hanging from his belt. It was sculpted for a fantasy game I think. Fortunately, Facebook again gave me a link to a Citadel Trade Catalogue from 1990, where this particular miniature is listed as a part of 'Fantasy Adventurers' range as a 'Mercenary Captain'. And I think I will call him just that... Let's say... Herr Haber:)

But this historical background is not particulary important. What truly counts is that first new adventurer miniature is finished. As I said in my earlier post, I will paint all of them with simple methods to finish them in time for a first game in about a month. As earlier figures from my team this too is blue and red - vivid colors enliven miniature and make it stands out on the table. And as I like my miniatures to wear 'realistic' colors, sack and bag were painted as a 'leather'.

Paining was very fast, for me anyway, as the whole miniature took about two and a half hour. Figure itself is old and it shows in its details, especially on the sword scabbard, chainmail and the sword. But it has a tons of thing I value most - it screams nostalgia and vibes.

So, let me welcome Herr Haber in the team, next treasure hunters will join him soon.
