Miecznik Easterling | Easterling swordsman

Następnie cała figurka dość obficie została potraktowana rozwodnionym Imperial Primer, a - po wyschnięciu - nakładałem rozjaśnienia scab red z domieszką vermin brown. Zbroja została rozjaśniona poprzez aplikowanie na "wystające" elementy ponownie burnished gold.

Podstawka - czarny podkład - rozjaśniana vermin brown, tallarn flesh i tausept ochre.

I decided to paint few Easterlings, to strengthen my Mordor orcs a little bit - I thought that they will be both a little faster and more pleasant to paint, as the models are definitely nice then plastic-horror, which orcs are.
I will be glad if I would paint ten infantry troopers - still my plans are a little more ambitious - 20 infantry and six horsemen. Well, time will tell.
So far I managed to paint three miniatures, all of them as a kind of test models. The only real difference between them is the colour of the cloak. Swordsman, which is visible next to the note, was painted as a first and his cloak was painted with scab red colour.

Painting scheme is a usual one for myself - black basecoat, drybrush of black parts with shadow grey and gradually more and more skull white. Armour was painted with burnished gold. Leather parts - vermin brown highlighted, if memory serves me right, with tallarn flesh. Next whole miniature was washed with very watered down Imperial Primier and then, once it was dry, it was time for highlights. Scab red was highlighted with vermin brown. Armour was highlighted with burnished gold again.

Base was painted on black basecoat too, with highlights done with vermin brown, tallarn flesn and tausept ochre.

Paint names are from both old and new GW's pallette, as they are on the labels.
